Got a turtle from his father at six and never looked back — building, over decades, a personal collection of more than 2,000 reptiles and a reputation as one of the foremost breeders of rare iguanas and tortoises. In 2022 he turned that lifetime of work into Iguanaland: 12 acres, 250-plus species, the largest reptile zoo in the world, and one of the most complete iguana and tortoise collections anywhere on Earth.
